LONDON—On March 2, 2009 launching at 12:00pm on Sky Channel 279, Parelli Natural Horsemanship will be the first show to air on RURAL TV--the world’s first 24-hour international television channel dedicated to crossing borders with farming, equine, rural lifestyle, and traditional country entertainment programming. On March 24, 2009, RURAL TV will begin distribution on Freesat 403.

“Pat and Linda Parelli are loyal friends and are recognized around the world as leaders in the natural horsemanship movement, being already well established to the UK equine market,” commented Gottsch. “With offices located in both Warwickshire and the U.S., Parelli is a natural fit and exemplifies the quality of international programmes to be seen on RURAL TV from the start”. Parelli Natural Horsemanship is exclusive to RURAL TV, as is all international programming.

In their first episode, “Reading the Horse”, Pat and Linda Parelli show how to understand the psychology of the horse through reading body language and behaviour and knowing how horses think, feel and play.

Parelli Natural Horsemanship is proud to be associated with RURAL TV,” said Sue Shoemark, vice president of international operations for Parelli Natural Horsemanship. “At Parelli we teach people how to gain a horse’s confidence and trust, by way of first understanding the horse’s true nature. We believe that RURAL TV shares our values, helping people reconnect with the land and its cycles, the wonders of nature, and rediscovering life’s real values.”

In addition to its Monday premier at 12:00pm,Parelli Natural Horsemanship will repeat Mondays (12:00am), Mondays (6:00pm), Tuesdays (6:00am), Saturdays (10:00am), and Sundays (4:00pm).

Parelli Natural Horsemanship and Rural Media Group, Inc. —parent company to RURAL TV—first began their relationship over seven (7) years ago when Parelli started airing on RFD-TV (RURAL TV sister network in the United States dedicated to serving the interests and needs of rural America). It was then in 2002, when the relationship started to grow and both entities began discussing their common bond to go global and reach the rural audience around the world.

Founded in 1981 by lifelong horseman and teacher Pat Parelli, the Parelli Program combines common sense psychology and communication. Early on, Pat realised that horses already had all the skills they needed to thrive and relate with their kind. It was adding the human element that complicated things, therefore the Parelli Method teaches the human, not the horse. Parelli TV programming provides a window into understanding the nature of the horse and how to create a better world for horses and the people who love them.
