CHRIS DICKENS COMMUNICATIONS SIGNS REPRESENTATION AGREEMENT WITH RURAL TV

Chris Dickens Named Commercial Director of RURAL TV
LONDON-Rural Media Group, Inc.-parent company to RURAL TV--announced today that Chris Dickens; founder of Chris Dickens Communications (CDC) will represent RURAL TV internationally, serving as Commercial Director. CDC is now responsible for RURAL TV's market and audience research development and execution of marketing and promotions, sponsorship and advertising, and developing strategic media partnerships with magazines and rural organizations.

Launching on March 2, 2009, RURAL TV is the world's first 24-hour international television channel dedicated to crossing borders with farming, equine, rural lifestyle, and traditional country music entertainment programmes.  This global network will be distributed to over eight million homes throughout the United Kingdom on Sky 279. On March 24, 2009, RURAL TV will begin distribution on Freesat 403 adding an additional one million homes in the UK.

Dickens has a wide experience in media communications, broadcasting and publishing and a proven track record in strategic, organizational and business development assignments.

"I am delighted to be working with Rural Media Group Inc. to bring about the successful introduction of RURAL TV first to the United Kingdom and then to the many other rural communities around the world that that are equally poorly served right now," said Dickens.

"Interest in the countryside and rural matters generally in the UK is extremely high, not only from those who live there, but also from a large proportion of city dwellers; however, currently this interest not well served by broadcasters.  The launch of RURAL TV remedies this, bringing a range of programmes that focus on the interests of, and appeal to, those who live and work in rural areas as well as those that work in our cities but have a passion for the countryside and country matters.  Furthermore these underserved audiences are of great appeal to many advertisers who are seeking effective communication to this valuable audience.  RURAL TV provides an excellent remedy for them" he explained.

Dickens began his career nearly 40 years ago with London Weekend Television, and shortly changed focus to the advertising agency world.  At Leo Burnett, Dickens' was Vice Chairman and Head of Media. At Young & Rubicam, he served as Media Director, and then as Deputy Chairman of Y&R London. In 1987 he moved to the US as Director of Media for Y&R New York with overview of their international media business.

Dickens moved back to the UK in 1988 to become Director of Sales and Managing Director of Publishing for the UK's first digital broadcasting service, British Satellite Broadcasting until he was asked to return to Y&R to become World-Wide Media Director.

Inspired by the increasing need for experienced media management advice and guidance, both in the UK and internationally, Chris established and became CEO of Chris Dickens Communications Ltd in 1995. The Company provides strategic advice in the business of media communications and has a large number of international clients, particularly in the United States and Russia.
